No, No...Not drastically. Just a bit more blurry. That's all. I'll show examples later.

By the way I was talking not only about model itself, but also animation. While original defs consist of about 100 frames per def, your creature exceeds it almost three times (basilisk have 277 frames), thus making it "too fluid" if I can use this therm. I would be definetely interested to see one of your creatures with "perfet style hit" rather than "perfect look" in mind. Anyway I am big fan of your work and I hope that one day I will be able to do such things in 3D myself.
Oh. Animation. Yes i do much more frames than in heroes. Personally, I don't have a problem seeing one creatures moving more fluid than the others. But if that's a problem - it can be really easy to fix. Reducing frames is not adding new ones. Anyone can just rebuild the def reducing the frames.
One more thing. Sometimes I also use some shadow tricks to make more readable the form and the cavity of the model. It's not a common thing to Heroes, but not an unique either. For some creatures (like Hydras or Gorgons) they also used some tricks ( i believe that it's just baked into texture) to do the similiar effect.
Also. Heroes creatures are also do not fit perfectly one to another and differs alot. Some have really deep black shadow, high contrast and have a noticible sharpening effect. And some have very very blurry look. We just get used to them, I think.
And don't be too modest. You have many very lovely works and your skill is good.

Вообще, я тоже не очень уверен на счет вариаций по той же причине, что пока слабо представляю уместность его в лайнапе фракции. Ну и обычно я в первую очередь ориентируюсь на финальный, грейдовый вид. А потом уже занимаюсь упрощением до даунгрейда. Но, может, можно поэкспериментировать и с черной вариацией. Но не сейчас. Сейчас у меня эммм..."малость" факап в реале. Трындец, в общем))
